What is Hispanos Houston?
Hispanos Houston is a group of small businessmen, professionals and local university students that are related one another and work together to contribute with positive changes for the city.
Through diverse projects in the socio-cultural environment, every hispanoshouston.com member can impact the city and its habitants with a powerful message of hope and encouragement.
The group meets regularly to build relationships, to discuss new ideas and to take advantage of the opportunities that will help in reaching its goals, personally as much as collectively, for the purpose of serving the community.
Mission:
Hispanoshouston.com is a digital approach offering tools that will gather and strengthen the Hispanic community of the city. The fundamental purpose will be the creation of personal relationships by working together, since those relationships will allow them to share capacities and knowledge among its members and beneficiaries. This Web site will give the possibility to all its users to be informed about the diverse existent problems in the community and the possible solutions which were proposed and coordinated by its collaborators in their periodic meetings. Also, it will be a medium to find out about different topics of interest and cultural customs that we all share as the rich culture we are.
It depends on all us to demonstrate our true values and culture and for this we have to be united as a single voice.
Our purpose is based in these 3 pillars:
1) To gather progressive thinkers in the business environment to share thoughts and ideas, stimulating each other to the EXCELLENCE.
2) Using Internet and the various digital innovations, we will bring principles and values to the information and news’ providers with the purpose of enriching the culture and spirit of community in our city.
3) Serving the community with programs based on the cultural and social environment that will allow us to dignify and to provide a positive image of what we are. The idea is that we shall put all our abilities and available resources together, so we may use them for the development of activities that will assist the community, in order to be the hand that others need.
Lucho Llanca is the Hispanos Houston’s Director. He is a well- known and experienced socio-cultural welfare promoter.
